About the Grundy County Environmental Health Project

The Grundy County Environmental Health Project was founded in early 2019 as community members in Grundy County began identifying the concentrations and frequencies of cancers they had observed in families, churches, and neighborhoods. They gathered data, reached out to the state department of health, started meeting with a Vanderbilt professor, and formed the Grundy County Cancer Research Organization of TN.
Our Mission
is to work together to understand if the cancer levels and kinds in our community are related to any environmental factors
