Our Organization
In early 2019 community members of Grundy County started to talk together about the concentrations and frequencies of cancers they were seeing in their families, churches, and neighborhoods. They gathered data, reached out to the state department of health, started meeting with a Vanderbilt professor, and formed the Grundy County Cancer Research Organization of TN.

Our Mission
This website was developed to help identify possible explanations for the cancer clusters that the community is experiencing, to enable scientists to design studies that could test these possible explanations, and to cultivate opportunities for citizen-science and community-university partnerships for understanding the anomalies and patterns the community is observing in their community health.
